[attr="class","alex"]  pokemon   tag @tag words 396 notes unplanned but pleasant surprise. | While he was busy walking around, he was surprised to see that he still had some kind of reception out here in Meteor Falls despite its obvious out of the way location. Wondering if that Lapras trade he’d been eyeing was still available, he booted up the application from his PokéGear and checked the bookmarked notices he kept. His eyes widened for a few moments, before letting out a sigh of relief—it was still there.
But the timer on the thing was running out, and the one looking for it was looking for a Jynx—and it wasn’t until he looked up a few moments later did he realize just what had crossed his path.
To be fair, it really did look like some kind of weird dancer with over-exaggerated chests… wait. That was a disturbing mental image. Shaking his head to clear the ugly thoughts that had rudely interrupted, he barely had a few moments to duck out of the way as it charged toward him with an Ice Punch attack!
“Whoa, not nice!” he yelped, sidestepping it and watching as it ended up punching one of the walls behind him instead. Seeing that this wasn’t going to go down without a fight, he fished out one of his two shrunken-down marbles and tossed it forward, breathing a sigh of relief the moment the Salamence emerged from its depths.
“Gabe, Flamethrower that when it comes too close!” he shouted, ducking out of the way as the Jynx turned around—right into the face of the angry draconid. Roaring to assert its dominance, a superheated stream of flames then escaped from its maw, slamming right into the Jynx’s face as it attempted to Ice Punch the Salamence out of the air.
Flying higher, the stream of flames continued to rain down on it, surrounding it before trying to take a Draining Kiss at the draconid—both Alexei and the Salamence recoiled at the sight. “Oh, Arceus that’s terrible. End it, quickly!” he added a few moments later, watching as another powerful stream of flames came pouring out of the Salamence’s mouth, never letting up despite the valiant attempts of the Jynx to fight back.
Once the flames had petered out, he then fished out another blank Pokéball and chucked it at the passed-out figure of the humanshape Pokémon, hoping to all hell it stayed inside. |
